About

Salam! I am a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Bahrain, and this is my personal blog.

The blog is titled for the etymology of the country’s name: “البحرين” [Al-Bahrain] is the dual form of the word “بحر” [bahr], which means “sea.” The country’s name, then, literally means “the two seas.” The name, to me, implies being between, which in a lot of ways is true of both the island and of me. So here’s to being in the middle–to both seas.

Note: This is not an official Department of State website, and the views and information presented are my own and do not represent the Fulbright Program or the U.S. Department of State.

Please do not share this blog with others without my permission.
